The Master of Computing offers 4 specialisations for students wanting to upskill, or break into the field of Computing. Students without a relevant background can apply for the General Track, which is designed for students with a Non-computing undergraduate degree.

The General track is designed primarily for students with non-computing undergraduate degrees and aims to provide a systematic pathway for graduates who wish to embark on an accelerated conversion to the computing field. In addition to helping build a strong foundation in computing fundamentals, this program offers elective modules that cover deep computing expertise to help prepare graduates for future career challenges in the Infocomm sector.

Entry Requirement

GENERAL TRACKS:
The candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree with Honours or equivalent in any discipline, and/or GC in Computing Foundations with a Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.0

Note: Applicants who wish to pursue the part-time stackable route are expected to initially have been enrolled in the GC in Computing Foundations

Skill/Experience:
IT-related job experience preferred

SPECIALISATION TRACKS:
The candidates should possess:
- A good honors degree in computing; or
- A good honors degree in a related discipline with 2 years of IT industry experience; or
- A good bachelor's degree in computing with 2 years of IT industry experience; or
- A good bachelor's or honors degree in a business-related discipline with 2 years of IT industry experience.

Candidates with degrees in Electronic Commerce/ Engineering/ Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics can also be considered for admission to the Information Systems specialization.

COMMON REQUIREMENTS
GRE / GMAT / Other tests
International applicants are to submit GRE/GMAT test scores as evidence which demonstrates their academic and language ability and readiness for graduate study. Candidates may be required to sit for other tests as prescribed by the school.

Candidates who have graduated from Indian universities may submit GATE scores instead.

Candidates should have a minimum GRE score of 320 (verbal & quantitative) and 3.5 (analytical) or a GMAT score of 650 and above.

In general, all applicants are required to submit GRE/GMAT or TOEFL scores. However, submitted applications without these test scores may be considered, subject to the admission committee’s decision. Please note that admission to the program is on a competitive basis and there is no guarantee of admission.

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
International applicants who graduated from universities where English is not the main medium of communication must submit TOEFL or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores.

The minimum TOEFL scores for Internet-Based Test (IBT) is 90; or an IELTS score of 6.0. GRE and TOEFL scores will be valid for 5 years and 2 years respectively.

The above admission requirements are the minimum requirements. Admission is on a competitive basis and preference will be given to students with IT-related job experiences.
