Course Highlight/ Description

This programme is designed to provide high-quality undergraduate education to the students with the objective of preparing them for prolific careers and providing graduate training in the area of IT. This programme will reinforce IT areas while inventing and implementing new technology. The graduates will be able to apply sound judgement to the production, communal, ethical and professional issues of the rapidly developing computing industry.

Students will learn in depth about Software engineering processes and IR 4.0 subjects that can be taken as elective.

3 YEARS including internship

Entry Requirement

(i)Pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in the following subjects at SPM Level or its equivalent:
a) Additional Mathematics;
b) Mathematics and one of Science, Technology or
Engineering subject
Note: Candidates for category (i) need to take Mathematics reinforcement subjects with topics
relevant to Computer Science and Software Engineering at the beginning of their studies.
Students are required to pass the Mathematics reinforcement subject as a prerequisite before
being allowed to take the related core course. However, this provision does not prevent
students from pursuing other courses either core or non-core that do not require the Mathematics reinforcement subject. Credit for Mathematics subjects is an additional credit to the core
subject and may be considered for the purpose of graduate credit. The requirements of the
Mathematics reinforcement subject may be excluded if the
Matriculation or Foundation program or its equivalent offers Mathematics subjects and the
achievement is equivalent to / higher than the credit requirements of the Additional
Mathematics subject at SPM level.
A pass in STPM in Science Stream or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in one
of Mathematics subjects and one of Science / ICT subjects
