本课程是香港首个以创意艺术专科为主,辅以艺术管理及文化研究的学士学位课程;旨在培育学生成为以社群为本的文化及创意艺术工作者,将来可投身各项与艺术文化有关的工作,以促进本地、区域及国际文化与创意产业的发展。学生于入学时选修「视觉艺术」为核心艺术专科。

This is the first undergraduate programme in Hong Kong to offer arts management and cultural studies components to complement discipline-based training in the creative arts. It aims to develop community-based artists who can work across a range of established art forms and contribute to promoting and developing arts and arts education in the local, regional, and international cultural and creative industries. Students will focus on the core arts discipline of Visual Arts.

Acceptable non-local qualifications for Malaysian students:

- Grade C or above in at least 6 subjects at UEC (Senior Middle Level) in one sitting; or
- Grade C or above in at least 3 subjects in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) in the same sitting, other than language subjects.

Recognised English Language Qualification(s):
- Band 4 (Aggregated Score 180-219) or above in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); or
- Grade C or above in SPM English Language; or
- Grade C or above in STPM English Language; or
- Grade B4 or above in UEC-Senior English Language; or
- General English Language Requirements

Careers Prospects

本课程毕业生可在文化及创意产业、商界、媒体、政府及非政府机构等地方工作。毕业生亦可选择修读一年制的学位教师教育文凭以投身教育事业,或于本地或海外继续进修。

Due to the rapid growth of the cultural and creative industries in Asia and increased regional competition, there is great demand for cultural experts who are creative, multi-skilled, flexible, resourceful, ethical, and competent to work in fields requiring multi-tasking beyond their major area of study.

Thus, qualified graduates with interdisciplinary training, knowledge in cross-arts issues and management, and cultural literacy are in high demand. Graduates will be prepared for possible employment in the cultural and creative industries, the commercial sector, the media, the government and non-governmental organisations. Graduates may also choose to pursue a teaching career by completing an additional year of professional teacher training or undertaking further studies locally or overseas.

The graduates have been working at various private and public organisations, such as 100 Most, Baron School of Music, Chung Ying Theatre Company, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Lumenvisum, The Mills Gallery, Ming Pao Daily News, Moon Gallery, Microsoft, The Pottery Workshop at Jingdezhen, Theatre Ronin, The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, MTR Corporation Limited, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Yat Po Singers Limited, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Ballet, K11 Art Foundation, Theatre Space, Design Trust, etc.
